If you are planning to buy a TMX Elmo, I have a warning for you.
Elmo is creating havoc in my home, between my 2 year old daughter and my 7 year old son. My daughter doesn't understand the full idea behind the TMX Elmo and wants to continually pick him up and hug him. She sees Elmo as a realistic, talking little ball of red fur that moves and laughs. Fully understandable at her age and I did buy him for her.
My 7 year old son, on the other hand, knows Elmo should be able to perform his act and be left on the floor. He is constantly wanting my daughter to put him down and leave him to do his thing. It is frustrating to him when he can't watch it do it's thing, although he traded in Elmo years ago for bigger boy toys, he is extremely facinated with what Elmo does.
Had I have known what a hit he would be with both my kids, I would have bought 2 or NONE! Just a warning to you all. He can be a bit of a stress magnet between siblings and parents too.
Elmo is great, but consider this warning if you have more than one child who might enjoy this toy.
