I am not a Dell fan. That stablished all I have to say about this geputer is that ... IT ROCKS! (view update at the end)
It will be a good choice up to December 2006. After that, the dual core geputers are going to take out this as a good option. The D600 and the D610 version have great performance. Just look for the most possible Memory and Wireless card range. Beware of some D600's since not all were equiped with wireless cards.
Read Dell reviews by independent analisis and this geputer is a good choice for office work. This is terrible choice if you consider it for gaming. The sound and video are not good for that.
Try to get the dock if you can. You can get it from $50 to 120 dollars. Its really cool and it adds up some options that the laptop doesnt have, such as non-usb mouse and keyboard capabilities, extra usb ports and and additional video outsUpdate: After using this geputer for more than 4 years, without any problems, we have bought several more of the same model for other sales reps. No problems so far. Its slow now for applications of 2007 and on, but its still a good choice for the field and internet.
