Advertising Your s Stores

There are a lot of great auctions on okay that dont get the attention other auctions get, therefore resulting in little or no hits and/or bids. The auctions that usually get the most attention are the ones that advertise and promote their auctions via email and websites.
There are many ways one can advertise their auctions for the most exposure. One way is via auction advertising websites that offer to advertise your auction on their home page with a link and/or gallery pic of your auction. Some sites offer free advertising and then there are the sites who charge anywhere from $1 up to $12+ to advertise your auctions for the duration of the auction.
The higher priced advertising will most likely bring you the most exposure for your auction, because those websites already have a lot of traffic. The price you pay varies with each website and some offer a variety of prices to fit your budget. The more you pay the more your auction will be seen. Although, not all higher price advertising have the kind of traffic that warrants paying the higher price, but you can always go to Alexa to check their traffic stats. There are websites with great traffic stats and reasonably priced advertising.
There are also the free advertising sites that is always good to use just for a little extra exposure, but strictly relying on one or more free sites to promote your auctions doesnt always bring you the most exposure. So, its usually a good idea to use paid advertising with at least one of the bigger well known auction advertising sites, to get a goodboost on exposure.
Another way to advertise your auction is via email. Emails are more of an immediate in your face form of advertising that gets a quick jump on getting your auction noticed. The Grapevine News has a mailing list of almost 500 subscribers to send your auction to in the form of an email "blast." Email blasts are sent in html format to make the auction more appealing. The Grapevine News takes great pride in taking auctions and pumping up the advertising ad with gements to make the auction more appealing to watchers and buyers alike.
The Grapevine News, as well as most the auction advertising websites, mostly promote auctions in the Everything Else categories, but are not limited to auctions in those categories. Even if your auction isnt in the Everything Else category doesnt mean it isnt promoting it for more exposure. An auction that is appealing and in high demand in any category will also gain more exposure by advertising the auction.
A lot of people who sell in the bizarre category will do bizarre auctions not necessarily for the money, but to drive more traffic to their okay store resulting in a boost in sales. There are many sellers who list bizarre auctions, pay for features and advertising for their auction, only to drive more traffic to their okay store where the bulk of their sales are made. That is how a lot of sellers make money and gain powerseller status. I've heard testimony after testimony from sellers who claim selling in the bizarre category has driven their okay store sales up as high as 200%.
Advertising your okay store is also a great way to drive more traffic to your store and works for many sellers. Many auction advertising websites offer various ways of promoting your okay store on those sites. The Grapevine News offers text links to your okay store in every blast that is sent out in a month....about 90 to 120 a month. Again, this is more of a "in your face" type of advertising your okay store which will be seen over and over again by almost 500 subscribers.
Advertising is just one of the many ways of getting your auctions noticed and/or driving more traffic to your okay store. There are many ways to promote your auctions and gain more exposure for your okay store, such as various ways of networking and meeting other okayers. If you have never tried advertising for your auctions or okay store, and you are wanting more exposure, you might tryitto see what type of advertising and how much advertising works the best for you.
You never knowwhen an Angel of Kindness will sprinkle blessings on your auction!
